They observe that sharks often change their behaviour once they know they have been spotted. They began painting eyes on the back of their dive tanks to make the shark think it was seen, even if approaching from behind. This is because sharks tend to prefer the element of surprise when attacking. The Shark Eyes stickers help to reduce your risk of an attack. They make the shark think that it's been spotted when it's making an initial risk assessment of potential prey. The aim is to encourage the shark to choose 'safer' prey that hasn't seen it.
